This position assists with the implementation of a systematic school-wide approach to tiered intervention within a multi-tiered system of support (MTSS). Employee performs school-based work to carry out Board of Education policies under the direction of the principal.</p>\r\n<p><strong>Salary/Status</strong></p>\r\n<p>Certified Schedule/Full-time, 10 months</p>\r\n<p><strong>Essential Functions</strong></p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Adhere to all state, federal, and local laws, policies, and procedures</li>\r\n<li>Adhere to the North Carolina Professional Teaching Standards</li>\r\n<li>Assist school administration in implementing all policies and rules governing student life and conduct. Develop reasonable rules of classroom behavior and procedure. Maintain order in the classroom in a fair and just manner</li>\r\n<li>Coordinate and facilitate the implementation of academic interventions that align with the standard treatment protocol for students in need of support to meet course standards</li>\r\n<li>Identify students for supplemental or intensive intervention support by collaborating with school staff and using student data</li>\r\n<li>Deliver research-based strategies and techniques to students individually or in groups</li>\r\n<li>Assist teachers and instructional staff in addressing student learning using the MTSS framework; provide guidance on strategies, tools, and techniques to meet needs of all students</li>\r\n<li>Develop, document, and maintain ongoing intervention plans in the intervention management system</li>\r\n<li>Maintain progress by monitoring data on how students are responding to intervention plans; adjust intervention plans as needed</li>\r\n<li>Monitor the overall effectiveness of each academic intervention</li>\r\n<li>Collaborate with school leaders to address implementation fidelity and other barriers to success</li>\r\n<li>Meet with parents/guardians to discuss student progress, determine priorities and resource needs, and encourage parent involvement. Confer with parents/guardians, counselors, and administrators to resolve students&rsquo; behavioral and academic challenges</li>\r\n<li>Prepare and implement enrichment programs and remediation</li>\r\n<li>Attend Professional Learning Community (PLC) and staff meetings for data analysis and instructional planning</li>\r\n<li>Participate in professional development focused on acquiring and improving skills and knowledge</li>\r\n<li>Perform safety functions/drills to maintain a safe instructional environment. Take all necessary safety precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities</li>\r\n<li>Perform related work as assigned or required</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n<p><strong>Knowledge, Skills, Abilities</strong></p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, standards, and expectations of curriculum in assigned area and MTSS framework</li>\r\n<li>Comprehensive knowledge of how to utilize appropriate data and information to make instructional decisions for students</li>\r\n<li>Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of various learning styles, curriculum development and program evaluation, effective instructional strategies, classroom management, learning assessment and diagnosis, and research related to learning</li>\r\n<li>Skilled in communication, both verbal and written</li>\r\n<li>Skilled in computers and software including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace</li>\r\n<li>Ability to learn and use specialized tools, equipment, or software related to instructional practice and business needs</li>\r\n<li>Ability to implement local, state, and federal rules, guidelines, and procedures into daily business operations</li>\r\n<li>Ability to communicate effectively</li>\r\n<li>Ability to reason, make judgments, and maintain effective working relationships</li>\r\n<li>Ability to employ positive communication skills in all settings/mediums</li>\r\n<li>Ability to problem-solve utilizing sound judgment</li>\r\n<li>Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding school system business</li>\r\n<li>Ability to take initiative, work independently, and exercise sound judgement</li>\r\n<li>Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven, rapidly changing team environment</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n<p><strong>Education and Experience</strong></p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree required</li>\r\n<li>Minimum of three (3) years&rsquo; experience in a K-12 classroom teaching literacy or math required</li>\r\n<li>Valid NC Teaching certification or ability to obtain a continuing or initial license with a minimum of three years of literacy or math teaching experience required</li>\r\n<li>Equivalent combination of education and experience</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n<p><strong>Special Requirements</strong></p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Possess and maintain a valid driver&rsquo;s license or ability to provide own transportation</li>\r\n<li>Travel to school district buildings and professional meetings</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n<p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p>","jobTypeName":"Not provided","positions":0,"payDisplay":0,"payMin":null,"payMax":null,"payTypeName":"","employerID":21182,"employerTypeID":20,"employerName":"Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools","employerDescription":null,"employerShowImage":0,"eoeStatement":"","requirements":null,"experienceRequired":null,"degreePreferred":0,"eligibleRequired":0,"degreeTypeName":"Not Provided","instructions":null,"internalQuestionsRequired":0,"employerAccountTypeID":21,"contactFirstName":"CMS","contactLastName":"Staff","contactTitle":null,"contactAddress1":"600 E.
