4-10 years - 20 days; 11-15 years - 25 days; 16+ years - 30 days</span><br /><strong>Sick:</strong> 15 days, carried over without limit<br /><strong>Personal:</strong> 3 days annually, no carryover<br /><strong>Bereavement</strong>: 5 days<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in case of the death of an employee&rsquo;s family or household member. </span><br /><strong>Holidays:</strong> Based on Central Administration observed holidays</p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p>Salary Range: $85,000 - $112,000</p>\r\n<p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p>\r\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Experience in School and Municipal Data Management</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Knowledge of Massachusetts DESE reporting systems (e.g., SIMS, EPIMS, SCS, SSDR).</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Robust knowledge of databases, cloud technologies, and software applications.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Experience managing and providing user support for Front-End database applications</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Knowledge and experience of implementing databases and data processing best practices</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Proficiency in using data languages such as SQL and Oracle to manage and export data</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Must be able to self-initiate and follow through on tasks while managing multiple priorities</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Strong communication and writing skills (in-person, phone, written, email, chat, etc.)</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ability to work effectively with a team and within a diverse workforce.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word etc.) and Google Suite tools</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Must possess a minimum of a Bachelor&rsquo;s degree</span></li>\r\n</ul>\r\n<p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Provide Front-End data application support, and database administration, troubleshooting, providing support to end-users and ongoing maintenance for school software, including the district&rsquo;s student information system (ASPEN).</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Analyze and administer system upgrades, software patches, and security.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Continuously monitor and analyze databases systems and while making recommendations and implementing process improvements, including customizing (including simple programming tasks) the student information system to meet the district&rsquo;s needs.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Coordinate and provide training for staff on district&rsquo;s Student Information System, related processes, state data collections, and select applications along with developing FAQs and documentation to minimize and resolve requests</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Process customized reports and data requests from end-users</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Liaison with vendors for integration of data systems; Resolve technical issues and bugs, while creating information pathways between systems to improve use of data (e.g. Parent Square, Transfinder, TeacherEase districtwide assessment systems etc.)</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Works with the Department of Education and other agencies to ensure the accurate exchange of student, staff, and program data and meet expected timelines (SIMS, EPIMS, SCS, SSDR etc.)</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Coordinate with school and district leaders, assisting with school year startup/closeout and maintenance processes (Student registration, Scheduling, Report cards, annual systems rollover).</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Export and Import data using various report writing and query languages&nbsp;</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Monitor and advise on Data Privacy and other regulatory requirements</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Monitor data infrastructure and respond to unplanned incidents</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Supervise and evaluate the Assistant Database Administrator</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Conducting other administrative and staff duties as directed by the Director of Data & Strategy or as needed by the District.</span></li>\r\n</ul>\r\n<p><strong>EVALUATION:</strong></p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Database Administrator will be supervised and evaluated by the Director of Data & Strategy.</span></p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p><strong>PHYSICAL DEMANDS:</strong></p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
