Respond to work order requests by diagnosing and repairing network and computer hardware.</p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p>\r\n<p><u>Minimum Education/Certification:</u></p>\r\n<p>Associates degree from an accredited community or junior college</p>\r\n<p>OR</p>\r\n<p>Equivalent work training experience</p>\r\n<p>Clear and valid driver&rsquo;s license</p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p><u>Special Knowledge/Skills:</u></p>\r\n<p>Demonstrate diagnostic skills pertaining to PC hardware</p>\r\n<p>Minimal experience working with Wintel and Macintosh PC&rsquo;s and associated Operating Systems</p>\r\n<p>Experience working with printers from Hewlett Packard, Dell, etc., and various laser printers and inkjets</p>\r\n<p>Minimal experience with Network Operating Systems</p>\r\n<p>Minimal experience with various network topologies including Ethernet</p>\r\n<p>Minimal experience with various smart phones</p>\r\n<p>Possess strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills required to achieve departmental goals and work with school personnel</p>\r\n<p>Ability to multi-task</p>\r\n<p>Successful experience in working as part of a group or as an individual</p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p><strong>Work Conditions</strong></p>\r\n<p><strong>Tools/Equipment Used: </strong>Hand tools and test instruments for electronic repairs and cable installations; personal computers and peripherals;</p>\r\n<p><strong>Posture: </strong>Prolonged sitting and standing; regular kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting; reach fully above head</p>\r\n<p><strong>Motion: </strong>Repetitive hand motion; frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; regular walking, grasping/squeezing, wrist flexion/extension, reaching; may climb ladders; manual dexterity</p>\r\n<p><strong>Lifting: </strong>Moderate lifting and carrying (up to 50 pounds); occasional heavy lifting (50 pounds and over)</p>\r\n<p><strong>Environment: </strong>Exposure to electrical hazards; occasional prolonged and irregular hours; frequent districtwide travel</p>\r\n<p><strong>Mental Demands: </strong>Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress</p>\r\n<p><strong>Regular attendance is an essential function</strong></p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p><u>Minimum Experience:</u></p>\r\n<p>3 or more years of successful experience in a similar position</p>\r\n<p>Preference will be given to candidates with experience and certification in installation/repair of the above mentioned equipment/software</p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p><strong>MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES</strong></p>\r\n<ol>\r\n<li>Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade computers and peripherals, network cabling, and network peripherals throughout the district. Relocate computer hardware, peripherals, and equipment as needed.</li>\r\n<li>Provide technical assistance to users of computers, instructional equipment, and software.</li>\r\n<li>Install and configure application and operating system software and upgrades.</li>\r\n<li>Assist with the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of data communications circuits and equipment.</li>\r\n<li>Assist with the organization and distribution of technology-based material for classroom use.</li>\r\n<li>Diagnose and repair network connectivity and hardware issues, including printers, terminals, and personal computers.</li>\r\n<li>Remove old equipment and perform data migration to new machines.</li>\r\n<li>Service equipment according to established preventive maintenance schedule.
