The contract can be terminated at will with 2 weeks&rsquo; notice. Paid leave, vacation, and holidays are noted in the classified handbook.&nbsp; The Technology Director is on duty when the School District is closed.</p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p><strong>Responsible to:</strong> Superintendent of Schools and Building Administrators</p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p><strong>Evaluation:</strong> Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board&rsquo;s policy on evaluation of non-certified personnel.</p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p><strong>Qualifications: </strong></p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>High School diploma or equivalent required.</li>\r\n<li>College degree or equivalent preferred; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Relevant experience in technology, networking, or systems administration can substitute for a college degree..</li>\r\n<li>Must have the ability to prioritize job tasks and meet established deadlines.</li>\r\n<li>Have the ability to hear sufficiently to use a telephone.</li>\r\n<li>Have the ability to use appropriate computer programs.</li>\r\n<li>Able to work well with board members, employees, patrons, and other appropriate individuals or groups.</li>\r\n<li>Able to respond to information requests in a courteous, timely, and helpful manner.</li>\r\n<li>Understand confidentiality with school business, records, and personnel matters.</li>\r\n<li>Desire to continue career improvement.</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p><strong>Essential Functions:</strong></p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Experience with PowerSchool (student data systems), networking, server/switch maintenance, e-rate, resolving teacher needs, and tech planning.</li>\r\n<li>Troubleshooting technical issues and repairing devices as needed.</li>\r\n<li>Be aware of, and help the board comply with, all appropriate state and federal laws related to technology and data systems.</li>\r\n<li>File all technology related reports with appropriate agencies as required by law and/or regulation</li>\r\n<li>Supervise the management of the district&rsquo;s technology infrastructure and systems.</li>\r\n<li>Act as an advisor to the Superintendent on all questions relating to the technology and data systems of the district.</li>\r\n<li>Administers technology budget control and planning for the district.</li>\r\n<li>Assist with the development of the district technology budget and plans.</li>\r\n<li>Enter data and assist in setting up information for technology systems as needed.</li>\r\n<li>Maintain/Update technology policies and procedures in the district handbook as assigned.</li>\r\n<li>Maintain/Update student and staff devices.</li>\r\n<li>Support the district&rsquo;s security cameras and door fob system.</li>\r\n<li>Comply with all board policies and regulations in the Classified Staff Handbook.</li>\r\n<li>Assist the Superintendent and office personnel as needed with technology support.</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n<p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p>\r\n<p><strong>General Responsibilities: </strong></p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Demonstrate punctuality.</li>\r\n<li>Maintain accurate records of technology systems, configurations, and support activities.</li>\r\n<li>Prepare reports and documentation related to technology initiatives and maintenance.</li>\r\n<li>Maintain federal program records related to technology (e.g., E-rate) as requested and assist with funding applications.</li>\r\n<li>Supports and assists other district staff as needed with technology issues.</li>\r\n<li>With the Superintendent's supervision, handle technology investments, vendor relations, and ensure system security and backups.</li>\r\n<li>Ensure backups of the district&rsquo;s technology systems and data are complete and current.</li>\r\n<li>Assist in technology-related duties, including troubleshooting, training, and support for staff.</li>\r\n<li>Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Superintendent of Schools.</li>\r\n<li>Support the Mission and Vision of USD 109.</li>\r\n</ul>","jobTypeName":"Full-time","positions":1,"payDisplay":0,"payMin":0,"payMax":0,"payTypeName":"","employerID":103434,"employerTypeID":20,"employerName":"Republic County Unified School District 109","employerDescription":null,"employerShowImage":0,"eoeStatement":"x","requirements":null,"experienceRequired":0,"degreePreferred":0,"eligibleRequired":1,"degreeTypeName":"Not Provided","instructions":null,"internalQuestionsRequired":0,"employerAccountTypeID":21,"contactFirstName":"Tami Knedler","contactLastName":null,"contactTitle":"Superintendent","contactAddress1":"Central Office","contactAddress2":null,"contactCity":null,"contactCountryID":0,"stateName":null,"countryName":null,"contactPostalCode":null,"contactPhone":"785-527-5621","contactFax":null,"contactEmail":"tknedler@usd109.org","shiftType":"Full-Time","salaryCode":"","contactUserID":360096,"displayEmployer":"Republic County Unified School District 109","closeDate":"2050-01-01T00:00:00","timeZone":"Central Standard Time","internalCloseDate":"2050-01-01T00:00:00","employmentStartDateTBD":false,"activeEmployer":true},"jobCategories":[],"applicationQuestions":null,"jobBoards":[{"jobBoardName":"Republic County Unified School District 109","jobBoardUrl":"https://usd109.schoolspring.com"}],"jobLocations":[{"locationID":163958,"locationName":"Central Office","displayLocation":"BELLEVILLE, Kansas","latitude":29.803,"longitude":-95.4204,"locationDescription":null,"locationShowImage":0}],"baseDomainURL":null,"jobApplicationId":null,"jobApplicationStatusId":null,"jobBoardDistrict":true,"formattedExternalCloseDate":"Posted until filled","formattedInternalCloseDate":"Dec 31, 2049 6:00 PM (Central Standard Time)","isAtsJob":true,"jobApplicationDate":null}}
