To serve our students, the district employs approximately 4,000 employees including more than 1,800 teachers.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>\r\n<h2><strong>JOB GOAL: </strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The goal of the TIS hardware/network technician is to provide timely troubleshooting, installation, and repair of network infrastructure and computers while minimizing downtime for staff. This role is committed to creating a secure, efficient, and responsive technology environment. The technician also aims to deliver strong customer service and proactive technical support across all campuses.</span></h2>\r\n<h2><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</strong></h2>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Installing and configuring network hardware, such as routers, switches, and access points.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Managing data cabling and physical network infrastructure to ensure clean and effective setups.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Monitoring network performance and analyzing metrics to prevent or resolve outages.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware and software issues in the network environment.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Supporting employees with network connectivity problems and providing technical guidance.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Collaborating with IT teams to upgrade and expand network infrastructure.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Documenting network layouts, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Configure operating systems and software, using standard District and administrative packages.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Repairs damaged devices and is responsible for the outbound repair process when needed.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Installs, assembles, and configures computers, monitors, network infrastructure, and peripherals such as printers, scanners, and related hardware; installs cables or directs the rewiring of cables as required for new installations and office reconfiguration when necessary or as directed by supervisors.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Troubleshoots problems with devices, including troubleshooting hardware and software, email, network, and peripheral equipment problems; makes repairs and corrections where required.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Acts as a technical resource in assisting staff and students to resolve problems with equipment and data; communicates with the help desk to facilitate exchange of information and advice; implements solutions or notifies users as required.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Assists in instructing staff and students in the use of standard district and administrative software when required.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Instruct staff and students in the use and care of new and existing equipment.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Determine the feasibility of repair of damaged or obsolete equipment and report it to the supervisors.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Other duties as assigned by the supervisor, assistant director, director, or executive director.</span></li>\r\n</ul>\r\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Knowledge of enterprise networking, including VLANs, quality of service (QoS), and wireless networking (802.11 standards).</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Proficiency in configuring and maintaining routers, switches, firewalls, and other network equipment.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hands-on experience with network hardware and tools such as cabling, testing equipment, and network monitoring software.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS).</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Excellent verbal and written communication skills to assist non-technical users.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Associate's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1-2 years of experience as a network technician, IT specialist, or similar.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Apple Technician Certification, highly desirable; A+ Certification, or equivalent experience (Mac and PC Experience highly desired)</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Deep familiarity with iOS, macOS and Windows highly desired</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Experience with Mosyle and/or JAMF</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ability to demonstrate good customer
