The HRIS Specialist will also provide support with position management adjustments.</span></p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p><strong>Essential Job Duties/Functions (in no specific order)&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong></p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&nbsp;</span></p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Review, analyze, and process requests for salary lane changes, step increases, career awards, national board certifications, and tuition reimbursement.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Perform direct entry into PeopleSoft for all employee information services functions, including terminations, accrued time reconciliations, and position management adjustments.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Manage expanded tuition reimbursement and BTU entitlement requests in strict accordance with contractual obligations and collective bargaining agreements.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Update and maintain benefits service dates, BPS history, seniority records, and employee class updates.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Manage the employee information email box and phone inquiries, providing timely resolutions or escalating complex issues to appropriate personnel.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Inform employees and stakeholders regarding human resources policies, procedures, and contract details.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Create and update instructional documentation, including FAQs and knowledge management materials for the Hub Help Center and other training platforms.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fulfill requests for personnel file copies and provide documentation support for compliance audits.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Supervise work distribution for the employee information team and lead training on salary placements, transcript reading, and reimbursement processes.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Provide training and placement review support for staffing and other human resources teams.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Maintain and update employee information process guides to reflect system upgrades or changes in collective bargaining agreements and memoranda of agreement.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Monitor audit queries to identify discrepancies in salary or career award transactions while implementing and tracking corrective actions to mitigate downstream impacts.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Maintain the future entitlement issues tracker to ensure accurate processing of deferred actions.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Participate in professional development, seminars, and educational opportunities to maintain up-to-date knowledge of human resources best practices.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Assist with special projects and perform related duties as required to support departmental goals.</span></li>\r\n</ul>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p><strong>Minimum Requirements (Education/Experience/Skills)</strong></p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Three (3) years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, clerical or administrative work in which the major duties included customer service and/or computer experience in an office environment.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Knowledge of administrative and clerical practices and procedures for evaluation.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Knowledge of computer software programs such as Microsoft Office and Google Suite to create and edit documents.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Working knowledge of City of Boston&rsquo;s Human Resources policies, practices and procedures preferred.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ability to plan, organize and process a high volume of work in a timely manner.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing, and to prepare reports and correspondence as required.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">City of Boston Residency</span></li>\r\n</ul>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Current authorization to work in the United States.
