This individual will oversee all state and federal<br />reporting to ensure compliance and accuracy. Beyond that, this role serves as a vital<br />service hub for the district, providing technical support and analytical expertise to meet the<br />diverse data needs of central oUice departments and individual school sites. Ultimately,<br />this role ensures that the district leverages data as an asset to improve student outcomes<br />and organizational eUiciency.</p>\r\n<p>PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES<br />The Director of Data and Reporting will lead a team of data analysts to perform the<br />following core functions and other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.<br />Team Leadership & Development<br />? Supervise and develop data team personnel, establishing high standards for data<br />practice and professionalism<br />? Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture rooted in transparency,<br />continuous improvement, and a shared commitment to data accuracy and service<br />excellence.<br />? Mentor and provide professional development opportunities for data analysts,<br />ensuring the team remains proficient in emerging technologies and evolving state<br />and federal reporting requirements.</p>\r\n<p>2</p>\r\n<p>Data Stewardship & Governance<br />? Establish and enforce district-wide data standards to ensure information is<br />accurate, consistent, complete, and secure across all platforms.<br />? Improve the data collection, cleaning, and storage pipeline to strengthen data<br />integration and interoperability for meeting educators&rsquo; data needs.<br />? Manage and monitor data permissions, access, and usage.<br />? Provide district-wide oversight and guidance on proper use of data<br />Data Reporting<br />? Serve as the primary lead for all state and federal data reporting, including all<br />reporting cycles through the Indiana Data Exchange (DEX) and annual Civil Rights<br />Data Collection to the US Department of Education.<br />? Collaborate with central oUice departments and schools to provide customized<br />data reports that support instructional and operational decisions.<br />? Manage and respond to internal and external data requests.<br />Data Solutions & Strategy<br />? Design and maintain interactive dashboards to monitor performance, identify<br />trends, spot anomalies, and understand actionable insights.<br />? Partner with district leadership to identify organizational deficiencies and build data<br />solutions to streamline processes, reduce errors, improve eUiciency, and<br />strengthen communications.<br />? Develop and implement strategies to promote data-driven decision-making, moving<br />the organization from reactive reporting to proactive, evidence-based instructional<br />and operational planning.</p>\r\n<p>QUALIFICATIONS:<br />? Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math or related fields<br />? Extensive experience in data management, with at least 2 years in a leadership or<br />project management capacity.<br />? Proven track record with Indiana state reporting and the Data Exchange (DEX)<br />platform.<br />? Demonstrated mastery of FERPA and HIPAA regulations with a proven track record<br />of maintaining data privacy and institutional compliance in the K-12 setting.<br />? Expert-level proficiency in PowerSchool products, including PowerSchool SIS,<br />SchoolMessenger, Ecollect Forms, PowerEnrollment, and ParentPortal.</p>\r\n<p>3</p>\r\n<p>? Demonstrated experience in using Tableau to design and deploy complex<br />workbooks and automated dashboards.<br />? Strong proficiency in SQL and R coding for data pulling, cleaning, transformation,<br />and engineering.<br />? Demonstrated experience of using Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps and<br />PowerAutomate) to develop custom applications and automated workflows for data<br />projects.<br />?
