Responsible for phone support, technology issue evaluation, and distribution of technology-related work orders.<br />Perform administrative duties related to the daily operation of technology department office and provide clerical services to the director of information services and other staff.</p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p><em><strong>Education/Certification:</strong></em></p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p>High school diploma or GED</p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p><strong><em>Special Knowledge/Skills:</em></strong><br />Broad knowledge of computer hardware and software applications<br />Knowledge of various operating systems (UNIX, DOS, Windows, Macintosh)<br />Knowledge of software used to develop spreadsheets, databases, and do word processing<br />Ability to detect and resolve technical or technology-related problems<br />Knowledge of correct English usage, grammar, spelling and punctuation<br />Basic math skills<br />Effective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills</p>\r\n<p><br />Experience:<br />__3__ years secretarial experience, preferably in public education environment</p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;Pay Grade AUX-4 -Salary based on experience</p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p>Telephone Support&lt;b&gt;<br />1. Prepare correspondence, memorandums, forms, manuals, requisitions, reports, and presentations for the director and technology department staff.<br />2. Receive and process work orders and requests for emergency service.<br />3. Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents as required including technology data and work orders. <br />4. Set up and maintain secure convenience files on all department employees in accordance with state, federal, and district requirements.</p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p>Technical Support<br />5. Process technology-related work orders and assign priority to work orders. Evaluate and recommend technology-related repairs and costs. Arrange for contract repairs for work that cannot be performed by district staff.<br />6. Analyze and identify trends in issue reporting and devise preventative solutions.</p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p>Phones<br />7. Answer incoming calls, take messages, and route them to appropriate staff. Handle questions and requests falling within level of responsibility.</p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p>Accounting<br />8. Perform routine bookkeeping tasks and maintain department budget records in an accurate manner.<br />9. Order office supplies for department. Prepare purchase orders and payment authorizations as directed.<br />10. Compile and report time records, including leave requests and reports, and prepare payroll on department employees.</p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p>Other<br />11. Welcome all visitors and handle their requests or refer them to appropriate personnel. Maintain effective rapport with general public and handle any problems or concerns in a prompt and courteous manner.<br />12. Comply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and local board policy.<br />13. Maintain confidentiality of information.<br />14.
