Functions</strong></p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Adhere to all state, federal, and local laws, policies, and procedures</li>\r\n<li>Develop and build sophisticated data analytics models to identify key insights and actionable policy recommendations for district leadership</li>\r\n<li>Build and maintain data dashboards and reports on key metrics that align with the district's strategic goals and priorities</li>\r\n<li>Develop, build, and maintain data dashboards in PowerBI</li>\r\n<li>Build, clean, and compile data using data analysis tools such as SQL and Excel</li>\r\n<li>Create ad-hoc data analysis reports</li>\r\n<li>Collaborate with CMS senior staff and educators to identify data analysis and visualization priorities</li>\r\n<li>Query, collect, review, and analyze data for district leadership and staff</li>\r\n<li>Collaborate with colleagues to support data quality control and governance activities to ensure all data is accurate, complete, and follows established processes and protocols</li>\r\n<li>Analyze and report on data from outside entities including the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI), the College Board, and ACT</li>\r\n<li>Contribute to and serve on various cross-functional teams</li>\r\n<li>Support the selection and monitoring of various school and district performance measures to foster continuous improvement</li>\r\n<li>Assist the research and evaluation team in developing systems and processes for collecting, organizing, and managing student- and school-level data for research and program evaluation</li>\r\n<li>Utilize descriptive and inferential statistics to summarize and analyze data&nbsp;</li>\r\n<li>Consult on and provide feedback on the analytic work of other departments</li>\r\n<li>Support the reporting of several district-wide surveys</li>\r\n<li>Remain current in the field of data visualization and analytics</li>\r\n<li>Perform related work as assigned or required&nbsp;</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n<p><strong>Knowledge, Skills, Abilities</strong></p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Comprehensive in-depth knowledge and understanding of the principles, practices, and procedures of public school system policies and data use</li>\r\n<li>Knowledge of data analytics and visualization best practices</li>\r\n<li>Knowledge of policies and procedures around data governance</li>\r\n<li>Knowledge of quantitative research methods and statistical methodologies such as descriptive and inferential statistics</li>\r\n<li>Skilled in data visualization tools including PowerBI and Tableau</li>\r\n<li>Skilled in compiling, manipulating, and analyzing data using SQL</li>\r\n<li>Skilled in statistical and graphical software such as SAS, Stata, SPSS, and Excel</li>\r\n<li>Skilled in integrating and preparing large, varied datasets from internal and external sources for analysis and visualization</li>\r\n<li>Skilled in logical thinking, Experience</strong></p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Education, Social Sciences, or a related field that emphasizes Data Analytics required</li>\r\n<li>At least three (3) years of experience in data analytics required</li>\r\n<li>Experience in data analytics in an educational setting preferred</li>\r\n<li>Equivalent combination
