The Specialist also empowers school employees by providing training and assistance, fostering a technologically proficient learning and working environment that supports student success and district objectives.</span></p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></p>\r\n<p><strong>Technical Support & Troubleshooting:</strong></p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Provide timely Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support to end-users (staff, administrators, and students) for hardware, software, network connectivity, and peripheral issues.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Diagnose and resolve technical problems in person, remotely, and via a helpdesk ticketing system, ensuring clear communication and effective solutions.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, tablets (e.g., Windows, Chromebooks, iPads), printers, interactive panels, projectors, and other classroom/administrative technologies.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Support and troubleshoot operating systems (e.g., Windows, macOS, ChromeOS) and standard productivity software (e.g., O365, Google Workspace).</span></li>\r\n</ul>\r\n<p><strong>System & Software Management:</strong></p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Assist in the deployment, installation, customization, and maintenance of instructional and administrative software applications and district-wide systems (e.g., SIS, LMS, MDM).</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Manage user accounts and permissions as directed, adhering to security protocols.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Perform routine maintenance, updates, and upgrades on hardware and software to ensure optimal performance and security.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Assist with inventory management of technology assets, including tracking, auditing, and surplus processes.</span></li>\r\n</ul>\r\n<p><strong>User Training & Support:</strong></p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Develop and deliver training sessions, workshops, and orientations for staff on the effective use of hardware, software, and technology resources.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Create and maintain user-friendly documentation, guides, and knowledge base articles.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Advise staff on technology best practices and assist in integrating technology effectively into instructional and administrative tasks.</span></li>\r\n</ul>\r\n<p><strong>Operational & Departmental Support:</strong></p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Collaborate with school staff and department colleagues to support technology initiatives and projects.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Maintain accurate records of work performed, inventory, and project status.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Stay current with emerging technologies, educational technology trends, and security best practices through professional development, research, and training.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Contribute to the evaluation and recommendation of new technologies and software.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Escalate complex issues to senior specialists or vendors as appropriate.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">May be required to drive a district or personal vehicle to provide support at various school sites.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Perform other duties as assigned to support the technology needs of the district.</span></li>\r\n</ul>\r\n<p><strong>JOB SPECIFICATIONS</strong></p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p><strong>EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:</strong></p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">High school diploma or GED required.
