{"success":true,"message":"","validationErrors":[],"value":{"jobInfo":{"jobId":5784606,"jobTitle":"Director of Technology","infoURL":"https://fhps.tedk12.com/hire/ViewJob.aspx?JobID=3188","externalJobCode":"3188","applicationDeadline":null,"displayDate":"2026-06-16T04:00:00","internalDisplayDate":"2026-06-16T04:00:00","postDate":"2026-06-16T17:45:35","startDateShowDay":1,"startDate":null,"jobStatusID":30,"unionID":0,"unionName":null,"jobDescription":"<p><span style=\"background-color: #003366; color: #ffffff;\"><strong>Director of Technology</strong></span></p>\r\n<p><em>Administration Building</em></p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p><strong>Reports To</strong>: Assistant Superintendent, Finance and Operations &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p><strong>Schedule: </strong>40 hours/52 weeks, Administrator</p>\r\n<p><strong>Salary:</strong> Commensurate with Administrator Agreement</p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p><strong>Job Summary:</strong>&nbsp; Provide leadership and direction in the development, implementation, and coordination of<br />the district&rsquo;s technology operations, including budget, asset planning, procurement, and staffing.</p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications: </strong></p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Bachelor&rsquo;s degree (computer science, information systems, or related field preferred)</span></li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Minimum of five (5) years of successful experience as a director, or supervisor/coordinator preferred</span></li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Minimum five (5) years of successful leadership in technology or a similar field</span></li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Ability to communicate effectively and relate positively with students, parents, other administration, and&nbsp;</span>community members</li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Pertinent knowledge of current theory, research methods, and best practices in K-12 education</span></li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Comprehensive knowledge of hardware, software, application, systems, and network engineering</span></li>\r\n</ul>\r\n<p><strong>Essential Job Functions: </strong></p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Collaborates with stakeholders to create a vision for how technology will support the district&rsquo;s goals.</span></li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Provides leadership to support the integration of technology in instructional practices by collaborating with&nbsp;</span>instructional leaders across the district.</li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Builds an environment of trust through open communication and transparency regarding decisions and&nbsp;</span>their process.</li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Performs personnel functions (e.g., interviewing, evaluating, supervising, coaching, disciplining, directing,&nbsp;</span>training, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining adequate staffing, enhancing productivity of personnel, and achieving department objectives within budget.</li>\r\n<li>Facilitates the growth of technology staff through professional learning, knowledge sharing, and cross&nbsp;training.</li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Fosters a culture of excellent customer service and support for end users within the department.</span></li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Researches and recommends new technology hardware/software for the purpose of recommending&nbsp;</span>purchases, contracts, and proper maintenance of technology operations.</li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Prepares a wide variety of written materials (e.g., bid specifications, correspondence, memos, reports,&nbsp;</span>policy/procedures, budget, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written reference, and/or conveying information.</li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Provides leadership, direction, and recommendations in policies, procedures, and/or actions related to&nbsp;</span>District technology services for the purpose of providing direction for meeting the district&rsquo;s goals and&nbsp;objectives.</li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Responds to emergency situations during and after standard hours for the purpose of resolving&nbsp;</span>immediate concerns related to power outages, equipment failure, cybersecurity attacks, etc.</li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Performs other duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the&nbsp;</span>district.</li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Consistent and reliable attendance</span></li>\r\n</ul>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p><strong>Physical Requirements: </strong></p>\r\n<p>The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to<br />successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
