This position is responsible for ensuring technology solutions are effectively integrated into both instructional and operational environments. Charlotte- Mecklenburg Schools reserves the right to require you to work at such other place(s) as it may reasonably require from time to time.</p>\r\n<p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p>\r\n<p><strong>Essential Functions</strong></p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Adhere to all state, federal, and local laws, policies, and procedures</li>\r\n<li>Lead, manage, supervise, and evaluate assigned programs/staff in the district</li>\r\n<li>Investigate, analyze, and formulate methods for handling special projects/reports</li>\r\n<li>Oversee district-wide technology projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, on-time delivery, budget adherence, and quality assurance across platforms</li>\r\n<li>Facilitate collaboration between the technology division and other departments related to technology needs for the content management systems, intranet, learning management systems (LMS), ticketing systems, etc.</li>\r\n<li>Manage the technical architecture of district websites, including scripting, database design, user interface design, and multimedia integration such as artwork, text, video, and animations</li>\r\n<li>Oversee the planning, development, and execution of web development strategies, ensuring the district&rsquo;s internet and intranet infrastructure supports educational and operational objectives</li>\r\n<li>Partner with other divisions, such as Communications, to ensure district web content is accurate, timely, and aligned with the district&rsquo;s objectives</li>\r\n<li>Collaborate to create web-appropriate content; integrate multimedia components and ensure consistency with district branding and graphic standards</li>\r\n<li>Collect and interpret web analytics data, identifying opportunities to improve search engine optimization (SEO), user engagement, and web traffic</li>\r\n<li>Develop and implement strategies to enhance the district&rsquo;s online presence and usability</li>\r\n<li>Administer accounts and user permissions for web platforms</li>\r\n<li>Ensure the maintenance and ownership of district internet domains while upholding compliance with state, federal, and local laws, software licenses, district policies, and ethical standards</li>\r\n<li>Ensure security, privacy, and intellectual property laws are followed</li>\r\n<li>Work cross-functionally with departments to ensure timely resolution of tickets, issues, and system challenges, providing clear communication and solutions</li>\r\n<li>Oversee the development and maintenance of standard operational procedures, best practices and other relevant documentation</li>\r\n<li>Participate in the development and administration of the department budget</li>\r\n<li>Prepare project plans, status reports, presentations and other correspondence</li>\r\n<li>Facilitate staff meetings and attend other related meetings as needed/required</li>\r\n<li>Complete local, state, or federal surveys and reports accurately and promptly</li>\r\n<li>Participate in professional development workshops and leadership training</li>\r\n<li>Create an inclusive environment with positive communication/public relations</li>\r\n<li>Perform related work as assigned or required</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n<p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p>\r\n<p><strong>Knowledge, Skills, Abilities</strong></p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the principles, practices, and procedures of public-school system policies and technology programs</li>\r\n<li>Comprehensive knowledge of hardware and software systems, including those used to develop and maintain internet and intranet websites, with specific expertise in web-based technology platforms such as our LMS and ITIL</li>\r\n<li>Thorough knowledge of industry-standard project management frameworks (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Trello) to lead large-scale, cross-functional technology initiatives from inception to completion</li>\r\n<li>Thorough knowledge of technical manuals and guides to assist with work processes</li>\r\n<li>Skilled in identifying, assessing, and managing risks associated with technology projects, including the ability to develop and execute risk mitigation strategies</li>\r\n<li>Skilled in HTML, scripting, graphics editing, database design, and user interface (UI) design;
