The testing coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supervising the district-wide implementation of local, state and national standardized testing programs which includes training the principal and/or principal&rsquo;s designee to serve as the school testing coordinator prior to each assessment. The testing coordinator also assists school staff with preparation for test administrations and is responsible for scanning and scoring local, state and national standardized tests, as applicable. In conjunction with the Director of Testing and Accountability, the testing coordinator provides test results and consultation regarding the interpretation of test results in order to improve student achievement.</p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p><strong>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</strong></p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Thorough knowledge of rules and regulations regarding the administration of standardized tests in the NC public schools</li>\r\n<li>Thorough knowledge of the various tests required of public-school students by the NCDPI</li>\r\n<li>Thorough knowledge of the technical variables associated with testing</li>\r\n<li>Thorough knowledge of the operation of computer and scanning equipment</li>\r\n<li>Thorough knowledge of state and local testing requirements</li>\r\n<li>Thorough knowledge of the proper conditions, practices and procedures for testing</li>\r\n<li>Thorough knowledge of the current literature, trends, methods, and developments in the area of standardized testing</li>\r\n<li>Thorough knowledge of the ethical guidelines applicable to the positions as outlined by professional organizations and/or federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations</li>\r\n<li>Demonstrated skill in preparing individual schools for statewide testing programs</li>\r\n<li>Demonstrated skill with interpreting testing results</li>\r\n<li>Demonstrated skill in training and supporting administrative staff and school test coordinators</li>\r\n<li>Ability to utilize basic Excel functions</li>\r\n<li>Ability to maintain complete and accurate records</li>\r\n<li>Ability to use common office machines and computer-driven word processing, spreadsheet and file maintenance programs</li>\r\n<li>Ability to express ideas effectively, both orally and in writing</li>\r\n<li>Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n<p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p>\r\n<p><strong>Essential Job Functions:</strong></p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Provide coordination for district testing and accountability program</li>\r\n<li>Work with Director of Accountability to ensure program compliance with all state Accountability Policies</li>\r\n<li>Manage all facets of achievement testing to include: storage, security, inventory, scheduling, delivery and return, scanning, scoring, testing modifications, printing of scoring reports, and distribution of scoring reports</li>\r\n<li>Provide appropriate training regarding test administration requirements for school staff</li>\r\n<li>Coordinate all testing and test-related activities that are a part of county-wide testing program</li>\r\n<li>Assist with reporting of each school&rsquo;s status/compliance with accountability data</li>\r\n<li>Coordinate in developing short and long term planning for testing administration</li>\r\n<li>Operate state developed software to support the testing program</li>\r\n<li>Attend all county meetings/trainings</li>\r\n<li>&bull;
