This list is ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY, and is not a comprehensive listing of all duties and responsibilities performed by incumbents of this class.)&nbsp;</span>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<ol>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>Paraprofessionals may be required to provide services in regular classrooms, ESL, special needs, side-by-side or other special education settings.</p>\r\n</li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>All Paraprofessionals may have duties in playground supervision, lunchroom and lunch area supervision, lavatory supervision, bus area supervision, and in transportation of District students as required.</p>\r\n</li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>Assist instructional supervisor in group and individual student assistance with curriculum work, special projects, language acquisition and other required special needs.</p>\r\n</li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>Assist in maintaining control and order in the classroom and in duty areas.</p>\r\n</li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>Assists the teacher with preparation of instructional materials.</p>\r\n</li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the classroom for student use.</p>\r\n</li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>Assist in the closure of the classroom during periods when school is not in session.</p>\r\n</li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>Perform assignments and duties as required to meet the personal care and non-medical health-related needs of students with special needs.</p>\r\n</li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>Assist instructional supervisor with control and instruction on field trips and in other extra-curricular activities.</p>\r\n</li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>Assist instructional supervisor in helping students in acquiring fluency in English.</p>\r\n</li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>Provide activities which offer students additional opportunities to improve language, academic, and/or social skills.</p>\r\n</li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>Monitor student activities at the duty stations and keep the students safe and well cared for.</p>\r\n</li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>Consults frequently with the teacher about the needs, suggestions, questions, problems, and progress of the student.</p>\r\n</li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>Submit reports to supervisors as needed regarding incidents requiring disciplinary action at any duty station or in the classroom.</p>\r\n</li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>Move about as needed to observe activity and to maintain safety, order and control at all duty stations.</p>\r\n</li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>Maintains adequate and legible records concerning his/her students work with teacher direction.</p>\r\n</li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>Assist in all safety programs, drills and evacuation proceedings as required.</p>\r\n</li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>Report to your instructional supervisor and/or school health center personnel all student medical and safety issues which you observe.</p>\r\n</li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>Attend classes, in-services and seminars as needed to improve knowledge and skills and to keep current with the latest in services equipment, material and functions as it pertains to the District&rsquo;s needs.</p>\r\n</li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>Practice good public relations techniques with students, staff, administration and parents, demonstrating a cordial and friendly manner.</p>\r\n</li>\r\n<li>\r\n<p>Participate in the Medicaid Reimbursement program which includes maintaining monthly logs on eligible students;
