Summary:&nbsp;</strong>The Director of Technology and Innovation serves as the district&rsquo;s executive leader for educational technology, information technology, cyber security, artificial intelligence, and digital innovation.&nbsp; The Director develops and implements a comprehensive plan that supports all district activities and functions and advances teaching, learning, operations, and organizational effectiveness while ensuring secure, reliable, and equitable access to technology resources.</p>\r\n<p>Working collaboratively with leadership, the Director aligns technology initiatives with the district&rsquo;s strategic goals, supports instructional innovation, safeguards district information systems, and provides leadership in emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence.</p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p><strong>Primary Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p>\r\n<ol>\r\n<li><strong>Strategic Leadership</strong>\r\n<ol>\r\n<li>Develop, implement, and continuously evaluate the district Technology Strategic Plan and alignment with district goals.</li>\r\n<li>Serve as the district&rsquo;s chief advisor regarding educational technology, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and technology infrastructure.</li>\r\n<li>Collaborate with district leadership to establish short- and long-range technology priorities.</li>\r\n<li>Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives to improve student achievement and organizational effectiveness through appropriate technology tools and resources.</li>\r\n<li>Monitor emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions that support teaching, learning, and operations.</li>\r\n<li>Represent the district at local, regional, state, and national technology organizations and professional learning events.</li>\r\n</ol>\r\n</li>\r\n<li><strong>Technology Infrastructure</strong>\r\n<ol>\r\n<li>Direct the planning, implementation, maintenance, and evaluation of all district technology systems.</li>\r\n<li>Oversee district networks, wireless infrastructure, servers, cloud services, telecommunications, classroom technology, and enterprise systems.</li>\r\n<li>Develop lifecycle replacement plans for hardware, software, and infrastructure.</li>\r\n<li>Ensure high availability, redundancy, disaster recovery, inventory controls, and business continuity for all technology systems.</li>\r\n<li>Develop and maintain district technology standards.</li>\r\n<li>Coordinate implementation of new technology systems.</li>\r\n</ol>\r\n</li>\r\n<li><strong>Cybersecurity and Data Privacy</strong>\r\n<ol>\r\n<li>Lead the district&rsquo;s cybersecurity program.</li>\r\n<li>Develop cybersecurity policies, procedures, and incident response plans.</li>\r\n<li>Coordinate cybersecurity awareness training for employees.</li>\r\n<li>Ensure compliance with FERPA, COPPA, CIPA, PPRA, Pennsylvania regulations, and other applicable privacy laws.</li>\r\n<li>Conduct cybersecurity risk assessments.</li>\r\n<li>Coordinate disaster recovery and continuity planning.</li>\r\n<li>Oversee identity management, access controls, and data governance.</li>\r\n</ol>\r\n</li>\r\n<li><strong>Artificial Intelligence Leadership</strong>\r\n<ol>\r\n<li>Develop and maintain district guidelines for the responsible use of Artificial Intelligence.</li>\r\n<li>Lead district planning for AI implementation across instruction and operations.</li>\r\n<li>Evaluate AI tools for instructional, operational, and administrative use.</li>\r\n<li>Support ethical, equitable, and secure implementation of AI technologies.</li>\r\n<li>Provide leadership regarding AI literacy for staff and administrators.</li>\r\n<li>Monitor legal and regulatory developments regarding artificial intelligence.</li>\r\n</ol>\r\n</li>\r\n<li><strong>Instructional Technology Leadership</strong>\r\n<ol>\r\n<li>Partner with curriculum leaders and instructional coaches to integrate technology into teaching and learning.</li>\r\n<li>Promote innovative instructional practices that improve student engagement and achievement.</li>\r\n<li>Support Learning Management Systems, digital curriculum resources, online learning platforms, and instructional applications.</li>\r\n<li>Evaluate educational software for instructional effectiveness, accessibility, interoperability, and data privacy.</li>\r\n<li>Ensure technology initiatives support Universal Design for Learning, digital citizenship, and accessibility standards.</li>\r\n</ol>\r\n</li>\r\n<li><strong>Professional Learning</strong>\r\n<ol>\r\n<li>Develop a professional learning program, in alignment with the overall district comprehensive plan, related to educational technology.</li>\r\n<li>Provide leadership training for administrators regarding technology implementation.</li>\r\n<li>Coordinate technology integration coaching.</li>\r\n<li>Promote effective instructional practices through modeling, coaching, and professional development.</li>\r\n<li>Support onboarding and induction of new employees.</li>\r\n</ol>\r\n</li>\r\n<li><strong>Technology Operations</strong>\r\n<ol>\r\n<li>Develop annual technology budgets and update future forecasts on an ongoing basis.</li>\r\n<li>Administer E-rate planning and compliance.</li>\r\n<li>Oversee technology purchasing and vendor management.</li>\r\n<li>Maintain district technology inventories and asset management systems.</li>\r\n<li>Coordinate software licensing and contract renewals.</li>\r\n<li>Establish service standards for technology support.</li>\r\n<li>Analyze technology usage data to improve services.</li>\r\n</ol>\r\n</li>\r\n<li><strong>Leadership and Supervision</strong>\r\n<ol>\r\n<li>Supervise technology department personnel.</li>\r\n<li>Conduct employee evaluations.</li>\r\n<li>Establish department goals and performance expectations.</li>\r\n<li>Foster a collaborative, customer-service-oriented department culture.</li>\r\n<li>Coordinate work with instructional technology personnel, curriculum leaders, business office staff, building administrators, and external partners.</li>\r\n</ol>\r\n</li>\r\n<li><strong>Communication</strong>\r\n<ol>\r\n<li>Communicate technology initiatives to the Board of School Directors, administrators, faculty, students, families, and community.</li>\r\n<li>Prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations regarding district technology initiatives.</li>\r\n<li>Promote transparency regarding technology projects, cybersecurity awareness, and digital innovation.</li>\r\n</ol>\r\n</li>\r\n<li><strong>Additional Responsibilities</strong>\r\n<ol>\r\n<li>Respond to technology emergencies outside normal work hours.</li>\r\n<li>All other duties as assigned by supervisor.</li>\r\n</ol>\r\n</li>\r\n</ol>\r\n<p><strong>Knowledge and Skills</strong></p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Visionary educational technology improvement and innovation.</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Master&rsquo;s degree in Educational Technology, Information Technology, Computer Science, Educational Leadership, Instructional Technology, or a related field required.</li>\r\n<li>Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience technology or information technology.</li>\r\n<li>Demonstrated experience leading district-wide technology initiatives</li>\r\n<li>Demonstrated working knowledge of:\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Strategic planning</li>\r\n<li>Budgeting</li>\r\n<li>Cybersecurity</li>\r\n<li>Technology infrastructure</li>\r\n<li>Instructional technology</li>\r\n<li>Project management</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n</li>\r\n<li>Experience supervising personnel preferred.</li>\r\n<li>Valid Pennsylvania driver&rsquo;s license required.</li>\r\n<li>Successful completion of a pre-employment medical examination.</li>\r\n<li>Successful completion of required background clearances, including:\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Pennsylvania State Criminal History Clearance</li>\r\n<li>Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance</li>\r\n<li>Federal Criminal History Record Information (CHRI) Clearance (Fingerprinting)</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n</li>\r\n<li>Such
