SUMMARY:
\r\nThe ISSN - Information Support Services & Networking Teacher will be starting a NEW ISSN
\r\nProgram. The teacher is responsible for planning, developing and implementing a comprehensive
\r\nChapter 74 ISSN Program for high school students in grades 9 – 12.
\r\nStudents who graduate from the program should leave with the knowledge of the curriculum
\r\nframeworks and technical competencies skills needed to be successful in the workplace and or in
\r\ntheir continued studies. In this inaugural year, the teacher will work full time, using the first
\r\nsemester (Sept. - Jan.) to build the curriculum and the program (alongside the CTE Director).
\r\nDirect student instruction (full time) will begin January 2027.
\r\n\r\n
QUALIFICATIONS:
\r\nEligible applicants must hold a Chapter 74 ISSN teaching license from the
\r\nMassachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education or be eligible to obtain such
\r\na license.
\r\n\r\n

\r\nWORK ENVIRONMENT
\r\nWork is generally performed in a school environment during the school day, however there may be occasions for after school meetings (ex. Back to School night, Advisory) Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function; rarely absent or late unless the situation is of an emergency nature.
\r\n\r\n
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
\r\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the teacher is frequently required to walk, sit, talk
\r\nand hear. The teacher is regularly required to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel and stand for long
\r\nperiods of time. The teacher is occasionally required to lift and or move objects weighing up to
\r\n50lbs. Must have sufficient mobility to navigate within a large school building. The teacher may
\r\nalso be required to operate hand tools and motor equipment and may work in confined spaces
\r\nwith exposure to dust, smoke fumes and gases.
