The teacher is responsible for planning, developing and implementing a comprehensive&nbsp;</span></p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chapter 74 ISSN Program for high school students in grades 9 &ndash; 12.&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students who graduate from the program should leave with the knowledge of the curriculum&nbsp;</span></p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">frameworks and technical competencies skills needed to be successful in the workplace and or in&nbsp;</span></p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">their continued studies.&nbsp; In this inaugural year, the teacher will work full time, using the first&nbsp;</span></p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">semester (Sept. - Jan.) to build the curriculum and the program (alongside the CTE Director).&nbsp;</span></p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Direct student instruction (full time) will begin January 2027.</span></p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Eligible applicants must hold a Chapter 74 ISSN teaching license from the&nbsp;</span></p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education or be eligible to obtain such&nbsp;</span></p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a license.</span></p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">REQUIRED QUALIFICATTIONS</span></em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">:</span></p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Associate or higher degree related to the subject matter and skills to be taught</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Four years of recent (within the last seven years), full-time employment experience directly related to ISSN - Information Support Services & Networking</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Passing score on each test (written test, performance test) for ISSN</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Achieve a passing score on either the Vocational Technical Literacy Skills Test or the Communication and Literacy Skills Test</span></li>\r\n</ul>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">DESIRED QUALIFICATTIONS</span></em></p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prior teaching experience preferred.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Must demonstrate the ability to work with students, staff, administrators, parents, and the public in creating an atmosphere where individuals feel welcome and respected.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Must be able to work as part of a team and independently.&nbsp;</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Competency in software related to ISSN.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Competency in the use of computer applications and instructional technology to aid in the interactive delivery of instruction and address daily school responsibilities.&nbsp;</span></li>\r\n</ul>\r\n<p><br /><br /></p>\r\n<p><strong>ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND REPSONSIBILITIES (Not Limited To):</strong></p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Responsible for planning, creating and delivering curriculum objectives and competencies in accordance with the MA CTE ISSN Frameworks.&nbsp;</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ensure students have had the opportunity to master the knowledge and competency skills necessary for the workplace and beyond.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Establish and maintain a professional classroom/shop environment, with an emphasis on safety, mastery of knowledge and skills and a strong work ethic.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Meets professional teaching responsibilities per teacher contract including (but not limited to) district, school and departmental goals, monitor, assess and document student progress, and communication with colleagues, students, home, and clinical placements.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Advisory and 8</span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">th</span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Grade Night.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Supports the Director of CTE in the continual enhancement of the ISSN program.</span></li>\r\n</ul>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Performs other duties assigned by the Superintendent-Director.</span></li>\r\n</ul>\r\n<p><br /><br /><br /></p>\r\n<p><strong>WORK ENVIRONMENT</strong></p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Work is generally performed in a school environment during the school day, however there may be occasions for after school meetings (ex. Back to School night, Advisory) Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function; rarely absent or late unless the situation is of an emergency nature.&nbsp;</span></p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p><strong>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS&nbsp;</strong></p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While performing the duties of this job, the teacher is frequently required to walk, sit, talk&nbsp;</span></p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and hear. &nbsp; The teacher is regularly required to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel and stand for long&nbsp;</span></p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">periods of time.&nbsp; The teacher is occasionally required to lift and or move objects weighing up to&nbsp;</span></p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">50lbs. Must have sufficient mobility to navigate within a large school building.
