The IT Security engineer also implements and tests physical and cyber security strategies, reports on incidents, provides status reports, and educates employees to raise security awareness.&nbsp;</span></p>\r\n<p><br /><br /></p>\r\n<p><strong>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li><strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">High School Diploma or GED.</span></strong></li>\r\n</ul>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2 Year Technical Degree or equivalent technical work experience.</span></li>\r\n</ul>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Experience working with a diverse group of people.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Embodies the core values of the district; When appropriate, reasonable accommodations will be provided to afford persons with disabilities an opportunity to perform the essential functions of the position</span></strong></li>\r\n</ul>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Must be able to provide a criminal background check with results that adhere to Bulloch County Board of Education Policy GAK(1)</span></li>\r\n</ul>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p><strong>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in computer science, information technology, or another related field.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Experience conducting site surveys, designing and installing security solutions.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Experience with security systems, door access control systems, CCTV systems, switching hardware, and intrusion alarms.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Experience with content filters, firewalls and cyber security related tools.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Knowledge of networking fundamentals such as: TCP/IP, addressing, firewalls, routers, VLANs, and VPN.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Network+, Security+, CISSP or other related network and security certifications.</span></li>\r\n</ul>\r\n<p><br /><br /><br /></p>\r\n<p><strong>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Develops, revises and implements security strategies, standards and practices.&nbsp;</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Generates and submits List of Materials (LOM) and monitors the ordering of equipment and materials.&nbsp;</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recommends, installs and monitors physical security systems such as security cameras, body cameras, door access controls and intrusion alarms.&nbsp;</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recommends, implements and monitors cyber security systems such as firewalls, VPN, proxies, content filters, security awareness training/simulated phishing platforms and other security-related products for the protection of computer systems, networks, and information.&nbsp;</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Develops technical solutions and security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities as well as conduct vulnerability scans and phishing tests.&nbsp;</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&nbsp;</span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Provides comprehensive reports including assessment-based findings, outcomes and propositions for system security enhancements.&nbsp;</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Completes training programs from manufacturers, industry associations, and the school system as required.&nbsp;</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Responds, investigates and reports on security incident activities including both physical and cyber related security breaches and/or intrusions.&nbsp;</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Completes electrical wiring, programming, and basic construction.&nbsp;</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Provides electronic equipment repair service.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Provides Level III technical support for users.&nbsp;</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Maintains professional knowledge and technical skill.&nbsp;</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Performs other duties as requested.&nbsp;</span></li>\r\n</ul>\r\n<p><br /><br /></p>\r\n<p><strong>PERFORMANCE FACTORS:&nbsp;</strong></p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Medium Work:&nbsp;
