DISTRICT OVERVIEW
\r\nHolyoke Public Schools is a PreK-12 public school district serving nearly 4,800 students, of whom 80 percent are Latino/Latina, in 11 schools. We employ nearly 1,300 people who together educate and support a richly diverse community of learners. We are committed to recruiting and retaining top-quality educators who believe all children can and will learn and who strive daily to make school a joyful place of discovery, support, and belonging.

JOB DESCRIPTION
\r\nThe Facilities/Maintenance Specialist is responsible for providing the Facilities Department services of a Facilities Support and also having the skills of a craftsman. This position provides a wide variety of opportunities in maintaining and delivering service to schools and their facilities and will be asked to perform in both aspects of the department.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

Operations
\r\nExpected to assist with all aspects of support at schools and the central supply warehouse including, but not limited to:
\r\n\r\n
Assists the Facilities and Maintenance Department in various jobs that include (Facilities) the custodial duties at Central Supply, opening and securing Central Supply. (Maintenance) Carpentry, Painting, Minor Plumbing, Sheetrock Installation, Window and Door Repairs, and the following duties listed below:
