{"success":true,"message":"","validationErrors":[],"value":{"jobInfo":{"jobId":5864101,"jobTitle":"Network Engineer 2","infoURL":"https://ats4.atenterprise.powerschool.com/ats/job_board_form?op=view&JOB_ID=4600324030&REPRESENTATIVE_COMPANY_ID=00014342&COMPANY_ID=00014342","externalJobCode":"00014342:4600324030","applicationDeadline":"2026-08-15T04:59:00","displayDate":"2026-07-31T00:00:00","internalDisplayDate":null,"postDate":"2026-07-31T16:26:11","startDateShowDay":1,"startDate":null,"jobStatusID":30,"unionID":0,"unionName":null,"jobDescription":"<p><strong>Summary:</strong> The Network Engineer is the IS&amp;S network support team member assigned to schools and administrative sites to handle the installation, administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of networking technology.&nbsp; This person supports the CMS Wide Area Network (WAN), the school Local Area Network (LAN), routers, switches, wireless access points (APs), and the site data closets.</p>\r\n<p><strong>Essential Duties:</strong> (These duties represent a sample and may vary by position.)</p>\r\n<p>For all assigned schools/administrative sites:</p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Installation/maintenance/upgrading of access points (APs)</li>\r\n<li>Installation/maintenance/upgrading of switches and routers</li>\r\n<li>Proactive Support and Management of Networks using Network Management tools</li>\r\n<li>Maintenance of data closet to adhere to departmental standards</li>\r\n<li>Projects (software, hardware, firmware updates)</li>\r\n<li>Second-level support (after IS&amp;S System Engineer or Network System Engineer level 1)</li>\r\n<li>Troubleshooting, root cause analysis</li>\r\n<li>Documentation &ndash; &ldquo;how to&rdquo; guides, required ticket system information, site configurations, other documentation as assigned/requested</li>\r\n<li>Performs other duties as assigned</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n<p><strong>Education and Experience:</strong></p>\r\n<p><strong>Minimum</strong></p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Associate degree in Computer Science, Networking or related field <br />and</li>\r\n<li>5 years of experience in network and workstation/device management.</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n<p><strong>Desired</strong></p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Networking, or related field and 5 years of experience in network and workstation/device management.</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n<p><strong>Licensing / Certification Requirements: </strong></p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>CompTIA - Network or Cisco CCENT (Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician) or the ability to obtain within 6 Months</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n<p><strong>Licensing/Certification Preferences:</strong></p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>CompTIA Network+ Certification</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Cisco CCT (Cisco Certified Technician)</li>\r\n<li>Cisco CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)</li>\r\n</ul>","jobTypeName":"Full-time","positions":0,"payDisplay":0,"payMin":null,"payMax":null,"payTypeName":"","employerID":21182,"employerTypeID":20,"employerName":"Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools","employerDescription":null,"employerShowImage":0,"eoeStatement":"","requirements":null,"experienceRequired":null,"degreePreferred":0,"eligibleRequired":0,"degreeTypeName":"Not Provided","instructions":null,"internalQuestionsRequired":0,"employerAccountTypeID":21,"contactFirstName":"CMS","contactLastName":"Staff","contactTitle":null,"contactAddress1":"600 E.
