Supports Windows, ChromeOS, Google Workspace for Education, classroom <br />technology, and cybersecurity initiatives, delivering exceptional customer service to district <br />staff. Assists in maintaining secure, reliable, and efficient technology operations across all <br />district campuses and departments.</p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong><br /><strong>Education/Certification:</strong><br />? High School Diploma or GED<br />? Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred<br />? Valid CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ certification preferred<br />? Google Certified Education Support Professional certification preferred</p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p><strong>Special Knowledge/Skills:</strong><br />? Operating Systems & Platforms: Proficiency with ChromeOS, Windows 10/11, macOS, and iOS/iPadOS <br />environment management.<br />? Cloud & Directory Services: Hands-on experience with Google Workspace for Education Applications <br />(Google Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Slides, Meet, and Classroom) and Microsoft 365 / Active Directory.<br />? Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair hardware and software issues across Chromebooks, laptops, <br />desktops, tablets, printers, and peripherals.<br />2. Deploy, manage, and maintain mobile student and staff devices using Mobile Device Management <br />(MDM) tools and the Google Admin Console.<br />3. Manage hardware warranty repairs, parts inventory, and Chromebook replacement lifecycles.<br />4. Use the district work order system to record, prioritize, resolve, and document Tier 1/2 <br />technical requests in accordance with established service level agreements.<br />5. Assist with campus preparation, hardware deployment, and technical support for online state <br />testing windows (STAAR, TELPAS, NWEA MAP).</p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p><strong>Installation & Classroom Infrastructure</strong><br />1. Install, configure, and maintain classroom technology, including Interactive Flat Panels (IFPs), <br />document cameras, sound systems, and streaming devices.<br />2. Install, test, and terminate Cat6 network cabling, and assist with network switches, wireless <br />access points, and telecom equipment.<br />3. Support campus physical security systems, including IP security cameras, access control badge <br />systems, and emergency alert hardware.<br />4. Relocate computer equipment, interactive technology, and peripherals during campus reassignments <br />or facility upgrades.</p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p><strong>Cybersecurity & Data Safety</strong><br />1. Enforce district cybersecurity practices (in alignment with Texas SB 820) by ensuring endpoint <br />protection agents are active, operating system patches are applied, and unauthorized software is <br />removed.<br />2. Support user onboarding and access control by ensuring appropriate account permissions and <br />multi-factor authentication (MFA) requirements are enforced.<br />3. Adhere strictly to student data privacy policies, including FERPA, COPPA, CIPA, and the <br />district's Acceptable Use Policies (AUP).<br />4. Report potential cybersecurity incidents, data breaches, or physical security risks immediately <br />to the Technology Director or the District Cybersecurity Coordinator.</p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p><strong>Professional & Customer Service</strong><br />1. Provide prompt, courteous, and professional customer service to teachers, administrators, staff, <br />and students.<br />2. Maintain accurate asset-tracking records for district technology hardware and peripherals in the <br />inventory database.<br />3. Complete mandatory state and district training programs, including annual DIR-certified <br />cybersecurity awareness training (HB 3834).<br />4. Adhere to prescribed safety guidelines, including safe lifting techniques, ladder safety, and <br />proper hand-tool use.</p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p><strong>Other</strong><br />1. Respond to emergency technical or network outages outside standard hours, as assigned.<br />2. Comply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rules, and <br />local board policies.<br />3.
