This position is assigned to support CPS technology needs and are the primary responsibility of the specialist.</span></p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Canton Public Schools maintains a 1:1 Chromebook program grades 5-12. A primary responsibility of this role is the management, tracking, and coordination of Chromebook repairs. The specialist evaluates damaged devices, performs low-level repairs in-house when possible, and escalates more complex repairs by entering tickets into the repair queue and following up through completion.</span></p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This position requires strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently. Resourcefulness, adaptability, and strong customer service skills are essential. The ideal candidate must also demonstrate patience and professionalism while communicating with students, staff, and interdisciplinary teams with varying levels of technical knowledge.</span></p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&nbsp;</span></p>\r\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Job Responsibilities:</strong></span></p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Provide timely technical support for all users by documenting, tracking, and following up on requests submitted through the district ticketing system, as well as responding to emails, messages, and phone calls</span></li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Provide direct technical assistance and support to students as needed</span></li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Collaborate with members of the technology team to troubleshoot issues and develop effective solutions</span></li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Execute assigned tasks and assist in the implementation of technology projects and initiatives</span></li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Configure, deploy, maintain, and perform repairs on end-user devices and related equipment</span></li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Reallocate, replace, and install hardware and software throughout the district as needed</span></li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Coordinate and facilitate the repair process for district-owned devices, including Chromebooks and other instructional technology</span></li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Maintain accurate inventories, payment records, and other required documentation</span></li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Technology Administrator</span></li>\r\n</ul>\r\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Qualifications:</strong></span></p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Associate&rsquo;s or Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, and/or equivalent work experience preferred</span></li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Demonstrated ability to provide technical expertise and end-user support for Macintosh computers, Windows PCs, and mobile devices including iPads and Chromebooks</span></li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Working knowledge of macOS, iOS, Windows, Chrome OS, and Google Workspace applications</span></li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving a wide range of technology-related issues</span></li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Ability to physically move and set up technology equipment within school buildings</span></li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Strong interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills</span></li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Ability to prioritize tasks, adapt in a fast-paced environment, and make sound decisions during emergency situations</span></li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Self-motivated and detail-oriented with a strong customer service focus</span></li>\r\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment&nbsp;</span></li>\r\n</ul>\r\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Physical Working Conditions</strong></span></p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
