{"success":true,"message":"","validationErrors":[],"value":{"jobInfo":{"jobId":5915474,"jobTitle":"IT Support Specialist","infoURL":"https://arlingtondiocese.tedk12.com/hire/ViewJob.aspx?JobID=3074","externalJobCode":"3074","applicationDeadline":"2026-09-22T03:59:00","displayDate":"2026-09-04T04:00:00","internalDisplayDate":"2026-09-04T04:00:00","postDate":"2026-09-04T12:59:42","startDateShowDay":1,"startDate":null,"jobStatusID":40,"unionID":0,"unionName":null,"jobDescription":"<p><strong>IT Support Specialist</strong></p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bishop O&rsquo;Connell High School is looking for a motivated and skilled IT Support Specialist to join the Walsh Center team.&nbsp; The IT Support Specialist plays an essential role within the school community and supports the daily work of faculty, staff, and students as well as long-term projects in the IT Department.&nbsp; The IT Support Specialist must possess both technical and interpersonal skills, especially fundamental knowledge regarding hardware, software, and networking technologies and communication with colleagues both technical and non-technical.</span></p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Responsibilities and Duties</span></p>\r\n<ol>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Install and configure computer hardware and software</strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> including printers, scanners, office productivity tools, cables, projectors, and others to ensure the smooth daily operation of the school.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Respond in a timely manner to service requests</strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in person, over the phone, or via email and support desk software.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Troubleshoot and resolve</strong> <strong>basic to intermediate technical issues </strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">including hardware failures, cable faults, account permissions, network connections, content filters and others.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Assist new employees with technical onboarding</strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to ensure immediate access to all necessary systems and devices.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Maintain accurate and complete documentation</strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for assigned and loaned assets and processes and procedures for daily operations.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Work with Director of Information Technology and Systems Administrator </strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to test, configure, and implement new equipment and systems and refine policies and procedures.</span></li>\r\n</ol>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Required Qualifications</span></p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A current CompTIA Certification (A+, Network+, or Security+ preferred) or an associate or bachelor&rsquo;s degree in information technology, computer science, computer engineering, or related field.</span></p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Physical Requirements</span></p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This position requires the ability to carry and install computers, peripherals, cables, and cords and will sometimes require the use of ladders and power or hand tools.</span></p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Compensation</span></p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is a 12-month salaried, exempt position. Compensation is $60,000-$65,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
