This is a hands-on, field-based position that works directly with staff, schools, vendors, and the IT team to ensure reliable operation of hardware, software, networks, systems, and technology services.</span></p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Manager will provide leadership and direction to the IT team while remaining actively engaged in troubleshooting, technology implementation, system support, equipment deployment, and resolving technology issues across the District.</span></p>\r\n<h2><strong>Essential Responsibilities</strong></h2>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Manage the day-to-day operations of the District&rsquo;s IT Department and technology services.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Provide hands-on technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, networking, devices, and other technology systems.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Work directly in schools and District facilities to assess, diagnose, and resolve technology issues.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Support the installation, configuration, maintenance, replacement, and deployment of computers, laptops, peripherals, network equipment, servers, wireless systems, and other technology.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Assist with the implementation, administration, and ongoing support of District software applications and technology systems.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Provide technical support for major software implementations, upgrades, integrations, and system changes.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Monitor network and system performance and work with IT staff and vendors to resolve outages and technical issues.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lead and support technology projects from planning through implementation, including coordinating timelines, equipment, vendors, testing, and deployment.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Supervise, coordinate, and support IT staff, including assigning work, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, and providing technical guidance.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Serve as a hands-on resource for IT staff and assist with complex technical issues and escalated support requests.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Coordinate with vendors, service providers, and contractors regarding hardware, software, telecommunications, networking, and technology services.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Assist with cybersecurity, system security, user access, data protection, backups, and technology-related security practices.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Manage technology inventory, equipment records, warranties, licenses, subscriptions, and replacement schedules.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Assist with the development and management of the annual IT budget and monitor expenditures throughout the fiscal year.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Coordinate IT purchasing, purchase orders, contracts, invoices, and related fiscal documentation.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prepare and coordinate technology-related School Committee agenda items, supporting documentation, and required memoranda.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ensure technology purchases and services comply with District purchasing procedures and applicable requirements.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Support eRate activities and coordinate with the District&rsquo;s eRate service provider.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Develop and maintain IT procedures, documentation, technical standards, and operational processes.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Respond to technology emergencies and critical system issues and coordinate appropriate resolution.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Provide technology support and guidance to administrators, faculty, and staff.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Remain current on emerging technology, hardware, software, networking, cybersecurity, and K-12 technology practices.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent.</span></li>\r\n</ul>\r\n<h2><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></h2>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Significant professional experience in information technology, including experience with hardware, software, networking, systems administration, troubleshooting, and technology implementation.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Demonstrated experience working in a hands-on IT environment.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Experience diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, network, and systems-related problems.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Experience supporting technology across multiple locations or facilities.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Experience managing or implementing software applications and technology systems.</li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Experience supervising, leading, or coordinating IT personnel and/or technology projects.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and customer-service skills.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and respond effectively to urgent technology issues.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Valid driver's license and ability to travel between District facilities as required.</span></li>\r\n</ul>\r\n<h2><strong>Education and Certifications</strong></h2>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">An Associate&rsquo;s or Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related
