Bachelor's Degree Required, Master's Degree Preferred.&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Certificates as determined by the District including a valid Oklahoma Class B Commercial Driver&rsquo;s License (CDL) w/ passenger endorsement, state school bus driver&rsquo;s certificates/licenses, air-brake certificate, state certification for bus mechanics and the ability to obtain a valid First Aid/CPR card.</span></p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p><strong>Job Summary: </strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This position serves as coordinator for and supervisor of all District transportation services. Ensuring that all District-owned vehicles/buses are maintained and in proper working order.</span></p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Essential duties of this position include the following. Employees in this position perform some or all of the following tasks. Other duties may be assigned.</span></p>\r\n<ol>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Follows and maintains knowledge of all District policy(ies) and procedures.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Maintains thorough working knowledge of all laws, procedures and regulations governing school bus drivers and student transportation.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Creates and schedules all bus routes to allow for timely arrival and departure of students.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Schedules substitute drivers, as necessary.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Creates driver schedules and routes ensuring that dispatch books and drivers are updated with any changes or modifications.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Works in conjunction with the Business Manager and Superintendent to make necessary schedule and/or route changes due to adverse weather conditions or emergency situations.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Assists in the hiring of all bus drivers and transportation staff.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Provides annual evaluations of all bus drivers and transportation staff.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Facilitates ride-alongs and observes drivers to ensure that all safety rules and regulations are being followed and writes reports of findings and area(s) for improvement.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Manages appropriate professional development and/or continuing training for drivers.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Resolves any employee relations issues and/or complaints regarding school bus operations or drivers.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Serves as a resource for drivers regarding safe driving practices, rules of the road, school location and District boundaries, state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to student transportation, Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations, and District policy(ies).</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Assists and provides guidance regarding student behavior management and consults with principals to resolve issues, as needed.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Conduct routine record keeping and prepare reports.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fills out appropriate log(s), forms and paperwork, as required.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Appropriately maintains and secures confidential records and inquiries.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Interacts thoughtfully and courteously with students, staff and parents and resolves conflict in a professional manner.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Professionally represents the school and the District in interactions with parents, community, staff, and students.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Maintains appropriate certifications and training hours, as required.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Attends work regularly and is punctual.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Completes other duties as assigned.</span></li>\r\n</ol>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p><strong>MARGINAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Marginal duties of this position include the following. Other duties may be assigned.</span></p>\r\n<ol>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Attends School Board and staff meetings.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Attends in-service training.</span></li>\r\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Substitutes or drives school bus routes, as needed.</span></li>\r\n</ol>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p><strong>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Supervises, evaluates and directs the work of all drivers and transportation personnel according to District policy(ies).
