Charlotte- Mecklenburg Schools reserves the right to require you to work at such other place(s) as it may reasonably require from time to time.</p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n<p><strong>Essential Functions</strong></p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Adhere to all state, federal, and local laws, policies, and procedures</li>\r\n<li>Support implementation of the district&rsquo;s digital transition toward mobile learning initiatives, special technology-enhanced programs, personalized learning methodology, and information technology (IT) curriculum integration in grades K-12</li>\r\n<li>Collaborate on the development and quality of technology and learning service program elements</li>\r\n<li>Train and support school-level technology facilitators to implement educational technology best practices and skills at their schools</li>\r\n<li>Create training programs using e-Learning software and proactively search for new ways to leverage technology in a K-12 setting</li>\r\n<li>Coach and model effective use of technology tools and resources</li>\r\n<li>Collaborate with teachers and district leaders to continuously assess student learning and technology literacy</li>\r\n<li>Collaborate to develop and promote district instructional design standards</li>\r\n<li>Collaborate to develop and promote standards related to the procurement of technology, maintenance of quality inventory, surplus of technology equipment, etc.</li>\r\n<li>Conduct needs assessments to inform the content and delivery of technology-related professional learning programs</li>\r\n<li>Select, evaluate, and facilitate the use of adaptive and assistive technologies to support student learning</li>\r\n<li>Partner with external vendors to develop, coordinate, and implement quality professional development</li>\r\n<li>Work cross-functionally to support the resolution of tickets and issues</li>\r\n<li>Prepare presentations, status updates, briefings and other correspondence</li>\r\n<li>Maintain documentation and standard operating procedures, and updates related websites</li>\r\n<li>Facilitate staff meetings and attend other related meetings as needed/required</li>\r\n<li>Create an inclusive environment with positive communication/public relations</li>\r\n<li>Perform related work as assigned or required</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n<p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p>\r\n<p><strong>Knowledge, Skills, Abilities</strong></p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Comprehensive in-depth knowledge and understanding of the principles, practices, and procedures of public school system policies</li>\r\n<li>Comprehensive knowledge of educational standards, pedagogical theories, and best practices in teaching and learning</li>\r\n<li>Thorough knowledge of implementing technology systems, devices, training, and support in a K-12 environment</li>\r\n<li>Knowledge in digital tools to support learning pedagogy</li>\r\n<li>Comprehensive knowledge on how to utilize appropriate data and information to make decisions</li>\r\n<li>Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of various learning styles, curriculum development and program evaluation, effective instructional strategies, classroom management, learning assessment and diagnosis, and research related to technology and learning</li>\r\n<li>Knowledge of and proficiency with instructional technology tools, learning management systems, and multimedia resources</li>\r\n<li>Knowledge of and commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in curriculum design and implementation</li>\r\n<li>Skilled in the use of current software to include word processing, spreadsheets, and desktop publishing applications</li>\r\n<li>Ability to learn and use specialized tools, equipment or software related to business needs</li>\r\n<li>Ability to implement local, state, and federal rules, guidelines, and Experience</strong></p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree required</li>\r\n<li>Valid NC teaching license required</li>\r\n<li>077 Instructional Technology Specialist Certification, Certified Educational Technology Leader (CETL), and/or Certified Government Chief Information Officer, (CGCIO) preferred</li>\r\n<li>Minimum of five years of experience in teaching, curriculum development/instructional design, or educational leadership required</li>\r\n<li>Equivalent combination of education and experience</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n<p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p>\r\n<p><strong>Special Requirements</strong></p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Possess and maintain a valid driver&rsquo;s license or ability to provide own
